Some comments, pics and links about life on a old Breton farm.

Chez nous.....

Our granite built Longere is about 200 years old. It sits in about 2 acres, has its own well and has a sloping, south facing, garden above a valley with extensive views.

Can be a bit windy in winter but is a wonderful place all the same!

The garden is a mixture of grass, trees and shrubs - laid out as an arbouretum by the previous owners. Alongside the new plantings are many old oaks, chestnut, walnut, apple and pear trees. we are surrounded by fields and have only one neighbour.

A new vegetable garden has been added in September 2008 to compliment the fruiting areas, together with a pond that will hold indignious fish and encourage frogs, toads, insect life and birds.
